Olympic Bidding Campaigns : 2018, 2014 and 2010 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games bids
 + Task           Provide information and other assistance to foreign media in support of PyeongChang 2018, 2014 and 2010 bids to bring the Winter Olympic Games to PyeongChang in Korea¡¯s Gangwon Province.
 + Strategy As part of an international PR campaign, CJSW created a database of relevant foreign and
sports media, and managed the Media Invitation Program, which involved selection of overseas
journalists to visit PyeongChang.
CJSW also planned and arranged for overseas interviews and meetings with the foreign press for
bid committee leaders.
 + Results Recognition of PyeongChang as an Olympic-class winter sports center increased markedly and
raised the city¡¯s profile among members of the International Olympic Committee. Successful
publicity campaign led to interviews of the PyeongChang bid¡¯s president, chairman, and other
officials by journalists from leading global media outlets, as well as features and other reports on
PyeongChang and related venues.
More than 5,000 known publicity citations recorded from 1,500 media outlets in 135 countries.
