¡°Meet in Munich¡±
+ www.munich-tourist.de

The capital of the state of Bavaria, Munich is Germany¡¯s third-largest city and the metropolitan area is
home to around 6 million people. The city is nestled along the Isar River to the north of the Bavarian Alps.
Munich boasts lush parks, grand boulevards lined with 19th-century buildings, and numerous museums,
making it a major European cultural center.
CJSW has continuously increased visitation to Munich originating from Korea beginning in the run-up to
the 2006 World Cup held in Munich and other German cities. Visitor numbers have continued to grow,
which contributed to the decision by German carrier Lufthansa to launch three times weekly direct flights
to and from Seoul.

Nine Magic Cities, Germany

A marketing alliance formed in 1955 among the nine largest cities of Germany (Berlin, Cologne, Dresden,
Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, Munich and Stuttgart) to promote them in the global market.

CJSW has introduced the ¡°Magic Cities¡± of Germany as a travel destination to the Korean market through
a variety of targeted strategies including press conferences and organizing TV interviews about visiting one
or more of Germany¡¯s Magic Cities.
